The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (NYC DHPD) engaged the services of Cygnus and INSIGHT to provide consultation support when restructuring from a mainframe to a distributed architecture. Due to the dispersed physical locations of employees, the DHPD had great difficulty accessing accurate and timely data.
The Cygnus / INSIGHT team thoroughly analyzed the infrastructure and designed a multiple server scenario. The solution involved setting up individual servers at multiple physical locations and provided the much needed information dependability. The architecture design received high praise from the customers and they moved forward with the implementation. Although not involved in the architecture implementation, Cygnus and INSIGHT are credited with the success of the architecture redesign and overall improvements. |
