The City of New York Department of Housing Preservation and Development (NYC DHPD) Information Systems Division (ISD) has instituted a bold information technologies initiative to build a solid information infrastructure that will ensure that HPD executive, program and administrative staff has the right information when and where it is needed. Key to the success of the IT initiative is the restructuring and rightsizing of the computing facilities and systems that support DHPD's strategic and program level business processes.
ISD engaged the services of INSIGHT Consulting (INSIGHT) and Cygnus to identify rightsizing opportunities and develop a strategy for their full exploitation. The INSIGHT and Cygnus staff performed a rightsizing study for ISD to enable that organization to identify its opportunities, assess the feasibility, and, plan and structure rightsizing actions such that their execution will be accomplished with maximum results and minimum risks. The project delivered a high level plan of action to accomplish transition. |
