The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Office of Information Systems (SI), has primary responsibility for the acquisition, management and operation of DEA's information management assets. Since 1997, Cygnus has been awarded several subcontracts to support a broad range of IT consulting and technical services.

These efforts include strategic planning activities such as the development of the IS/IT Vision, Strategic IRM Plan, and Enterprise Data Architecture pilot program. BPR and SLCM activities include a security clearance processing system, a data warehousing initiative, a vendor invoice processing system, a budget development system, an investigative case management system, an investigative records management system, and DEA's Executive Information System proof of concept pilot.
